Bio
Let's see, where to begin? I was born in Moline, Illinois, but moved to Gregory, South Dakota when I was eight or so. I attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, where I had Blake Gothenberg as a roommate junior and senior year. Majored in Spanish and Journalism. Minored in theatre. Had an unsuccessful year towards a masters in Spanish at South Dakota State University, but while taking a film course, a professor picked up on my enthusiasm in movies and encouraged me to accept the part time job he was vacating as a film critic at the St. Paul Pioneer Press in St. Paul, Minnesota. I entered a kind of sarcastic résumé, but they liked it and I got the job and have been in St. Paul since late July of 2005. Since this gig is part time, am substitute teaching to make ends meet.

Lo and behold, ex-roomie Blake applied for and received a full time job as a movie critic for Minneapolis Star-Tribune across the river. So my landlord Anand (Andy for short) helped adapt my contract so I could move to a two bedroom and Blake could move in.

And Blake's editor is hot. I saw her at the Mall of America during a blood donation a couple of summers ago, and wow. No wonder Blake's so willing to work over time. I'm sorry, but Blake's such a lucky duck to have her. I have a dude as an editor.

Blake is currently in China. I am working on a screenplay about Blake's love life, entitled Blake in Progress. It's the story of Blake's romantic adventures, his good dates and bad. Blake doesn't know about it yet. It's a play on words, because I know Blake loved the TV show Jake in Progress, the cancelled 2005 dramedy starring John Stamos. He and his editor, Nadine, were both big fans, apparently.

Except for The Office and ER, none of my favorite shows are on the air anymore. But past favorites include:

Crumbs
Gideon's Crossing
Committed
Grounded For Life
Inside Schwartz
American Dreams
8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter
Write and Wrong
Local Heroes
Kirk
Working
Just the 10 of Us
Rules of Engagement
Andy Barker, P.I.
Blind Justice
Raines
Daddy-o
The Tom Arnold Show

(If any of the above shows make their way to DVD, let me know)

Here is a rough top 10 list for 2008 so far:

1. The Dark Knight
2. Get Smart
3. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
4. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
5. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
6. High School Musical 3: Senior Year
7. Hancock
8. 10,000 B.C.
9. Mamma Mia!
10. (I haven't seen ten movies yet this year.)

(Off the record- Keith Muldoon is a pen name. He is actually Greg O'Neill, a graduate student at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, going for a Master's in the Art of Teaching for Spanish and ESL. Like his fictional character, Greg is an avid movie buff, and recent great films he has seen include Blood Diamond, The Bourne Identity, Flicka, Melinda and Melinda, The Ape, Spiderman III, United 93, Knocked Up, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In February of 2006 he started writing a sitcom in his free time called Stalemates, the story of two film critics who write for different newspapers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market. The character of Keith is based on Greg, and leads an identical life style to Greg, except that he would get paid to write movie reviews, and Greg O'Neill doesn't.)
